1. The service
Rosto turns a photo of a consenting person into a stylized, animated avatar and serves it for embedding. The service is currently invite-only; we may change features and limits as it evolves, and we will announce material changes to these terms.
2. Consent and likeness
You may upload a photo of yourself, of another adult who has given you their informed consent for an AI avatar, or of a computer-generated person that depicts no real individual — and you declare which it is when you create one. That declaration is recorded, and you are responsible for it being true. No avatars of minors, on any path. We may refuse, suspend or remove avatars, and we respond quickly to reports from anyone who believes their likeness is used without consent.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use an avatar to deceive people about who or what they are interacting with: when an avatar fronts an AI system, disclose that. Don't impersonate a person without their consent, and don't use the service for unlawful content, harassment, fraud, or to violate others' rights. Don't remove or obscure the AI-generated markings avatars carry.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to your photo and your avatar. You grant us the license needed to operate the service: to process the photo into an avatar, store the avatar's assets, and serve them where you embed them. Delete your avatar at any time; deletion removes our stored assets and invalidates its tokens.
5. Credits and billing
Avatar creation may consume credits. Credits are charged when you approve an avatar; unapproved avatars are not charged. Purchased credits are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of availability or fitness. To the extent allowed by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
